Saucier earns second first-place finish at Spud Speedway

July 11 edition - ST JOHN VALLEY – Local riders from around the area competed in the weekly races at Spud Speedway in Caribou on Sunday, July 8. Drivers participated in various divisions, with a few local St. John Valley racers coming out on top.

Rick Saucier of Eagle Lake cruised to his second straight first-place finish in the Clukey’s Auto Parts Fast 4s division, while Nate Haney of Caribou came in second place. Matt Lloyd took third place, and Tod Doody crossed the finish line in fourth.

In the Coca-Cola Super Streets division, Jason Levesque of Caribou came out on top, while Dillon MacDougal of Fort Fairfield took second place. Matt Farnum of Mapleton came in third place, while Mark York of Fort Fairfield took fourth place. Tharren MacDougal rounded out the top five with a fifth-place finish.

In the Hogan Tire Street Stock division, Bobby Anderson of Caribou took the checkered flag with a first-place finish, while Derek Finnemore of Mapleton came in second. JR Howlett of Mapleton finished third, and Jon Dixon of Presque Isle took fourth place on the day.

Mark York of Fort Fairfield took the checkered flag in the Cary Medical Center Challenger Division, and Carl Tucker finished in second place in his #37 car. Dell Brissette of Caswell came in third place, and Kyle Wells drove for a fourth-place finish.

In the Maine National Guard Northern Lights division, Travis Beale of Hampden came in first place, while Donald Rideout of Presque Isle drove for a second place finish. Shawn Dewley took third place, and Stephen Levesque of Limestone came in fourth.

Jesse Dewley of Presque Isle finished in first place in his #72 car in the Young Guns/Powder Puff division, and Brooke Saucier of Eagle Lake took second place. Krista Dewley, also of Presque Isle, came in third.

Connor Thibeau of Fort Fairfield came in first place in the Late Model Sportsman division, and Joey Doyon of Winterport came in second. Johnny Albert of Limestone drove for a third-place finish, while Jason Forbes came in fourth place.
