EDITOR'S NOTE: The Times is reposting this July 25, 2012 piece so that viewers may review it in relation to "Textile Thursdays." The series returns this summer to the Ste-Agathe Historical Society, according to member Lise Sirois. Members and visitors will work with different textile materials every week at the museum throughout the summer. This year, hours will be from 12:30 to 4 p.m., with the first session planned for June 27. For more information, call Lise Sirois at 543-6657.

July 25, 2012 edition: ST. AGATHA, Maine - Visitors learned basketmaking and weaving during Textile Thursday in St. Agatha. Participants included Jeannine Daigle, Jackie Rossignol, Rella Daigle, Lise Sirois, Sally Gagnon, Holly Dionne and Jackie Daigle at the Ste-Agathe Historical Society’s Textile Thursday event July 19 at the society’s Preservation Center. The workshop began Father's Day and will run until Labor Day weekend, every Thursday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. This is the third year the center has been offering this activity to the public.

The preservation center is open daily from 1 to 4 p.m.
