MADAWASKA – Robert Sirois, 80 and 11 months, passed away on March 5, at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake. He was born in Frenchville on April 17, 1929, the son of Charles and Olive (Sirois) Sirois. Robert was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of Madawaska. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lucille Marie (Plourde) Sirois of Frenchville, Two sons, William Sirois and his wife Christine of Merrimac, N.H., David Sirois and his wife Kathleen of Appleton, WI.  Four Brothers, Valere and Charles Sirois both of Madawaska, Claude Sirois of Frenchville, and Hermel Sirois of St. Agatha; One sister, Theresa Signorille of Stamford, Conn., four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to both parents, Robert was predeceased by  four brothers,  Lucien, Conrad, Louis, and Bertrand; and one sister Sr. Corine Sirois. Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska, Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery.
