1934 - 2011

VAN BUREN - Wilfred “TiTi” Martin, 76, died June 1, 2011 at a Caribou hospital.

He was born in St. Leonard, N.B., Canada, Oct. 26, 1934, the son of William and Flavie (Corbin) Martin. He was employed as a flooring and ceiling installer for many years.

He is survived by one son, James Martin and his wife Danielle of Van Buren; two sisters, Antoinette Desjardins and her husband Rino, and Isabelle Godbout, all of Grand Falls, N.B.; and two grandsons, Andrew and Alexander Martin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alfred and Lena Thibodeau.

He will also be missed by his longtime companion, Rachel Akerley of St. Leonard, N.B.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Geneva (Thibodeau) Martin; three brothers, Rino, Léo, and Joseph ‘Joe-Pitoute’ Martin.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 3 at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment were in the parish cemetery.
