ALCIDE “PETE” JOSEPH MICHAUD

ST. DAVID - Alcide “Pete” Joseph Michaud died at home unexpectedly on Oct 2, 2011. He was born on April 9, 1936 in St. David to the late Willie and LizziAnn (Lagasse) Michaud. Pete was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all. He was a carpenter by trade but a jack-of-all-trades. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jeannette (Soucy) Michaud of St. Agatha; six children, Sandra and her husband Joel Gendreau of St. Agatha, Barbara Cyr and fiancée Michael Cyr of Bristol Conn., Rena and her husband Ron Daigle of Sinclair, Peter and his wife Paula of Grand Isle, Tina Collins and her companion Dick Tardif of St. Agatha, and Bobby and his wife Rachel of St. David; thirteen grandchildren, Gary Gendreau and his wife Traci of Millinocket, Gerry Gendreau and his fiancée Holly of St. Agatha, Danny Cyr Jr. and his wife Amanda of Grand Isle, Dennis Cyr and his wife Morgan of Grand Isle, Dana Cyr and his wife Jessica of St. David,  Amy Pelletier and her husband Jacques of Madawaska, Joey Tardif and his companion Kelly of Orland, Aaron Michaud of Madawaska, Shane Michaud of Madawaska, and Dylan Michaud of Grand Isle, Suzie and Dennis Collins of St. Agatha, and Jack Michaud of St. David; eight great-grandchildren, Issiah Gendreau, Danny III, Cater, and Wyatt Cyr, Mason Cyr, Victoria, Cole, and Peighton Michaud: one sister Antoinette Beaulieu of Connecticut; two brothers, Gerard of Scarborough and Lionel of Frenchville; many nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law Lucienne Michaud of Connecticut. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by one son Gary, his parents, and by brothers Albert, Armand, Lawrance, Lucien and sisters Yvette, Rilla, Aline, Cecile and Irene. There will be no calling hours. Sympathies can be expressed a half-hour before services at the St. Agatha Church. Family will be gathered in the back of the church lobby. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
