LORRAINE (HEBERT) GAGNON

FORT KENT - Lorraine (Hebert) Gagnon, 82, died peacefully Oct. 22, 2011 at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in Fort Kent Feb. 1, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Albert) Hebert. Lorraine was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Fort Kent. She loved cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and was an avid bingo player, and she enjoyed listening and dancing to music. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her seven children, Rinette and her husband Fernand Dufour of Farmington, Conn., Philip and his wife Linda Gagnon of Fort Kent, Joel and his wife Brenda Gagnon of Wallagrass, Cecile and her husband Danny Marquis of Frenchville, Claudette and her husband Bryant Babin of Fort Kent, Juliette and her husband Andrew Bouchard of Sinclair, and Lisa Gagnon of Augusta; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Irene Labrie of Frenchville. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Gagnon on Aug. 27, 2011 and three brothers, Adrian, Lucien, and Norman Hebert. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Jean Paul Labrie officiating.
