May 30 edition - EAGLE LAKE - The Eagle Lake Mud Bog Runs raised approximately $5,000 this year, in support of fundraising for the community's fire department and their "Jaws of Life" equipment. About 450 people attended the event, with 40 participants running trucks and jeeps through a track of deep mud. No vehicle made it all the way through, so the challenge remains for next time. Organizers said they are looking at hosting another mud event later in the fall.
