Investigation continues into Willard accident

ONLINE FIRST: EAGLE LAKE - The investigation into the incident that resulted in serious head injuries to 24-year old Randy Willard of Madawaska is still ongoing, according to Sgt Brian Harris of the Maine State Police.

Harris said via email on Tuesday evening that there was nothing new to report, and that it was his understanding Willard was still in the intensive care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Maine state police had responded to a call on Dennis Street in Eagle Lake, on Saturday, June 30. Fort Kent Police dispatch logs indicates a 911 call to Dennis Street had come in at 10:33 that evening.

At that time, police had indicated Willard, may have fallen out of a pickup truck.

Fort Kent Ambulance initially transported Willard to Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent, and he was later transported to EMMC.
