1913 – 2012

EAGLE LAKE and FORT KENT - Aurele D. Caron, 99, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 3, 2012. He was born in Frenchville on June 20, 1913, the son of Denis and Odile (Gervais) Caron. He was employed by Frank Martin & Sons for many years on the farm and retired from the former Peoples Benevolent Hospital in Fort Kent doing maintenance. Aurele was well known as an avid dancer and for volunteering for the Senior Citizens Club. His laugh, smile and jokes will be dearly missed. He leaves behind three daughters, Robertine (Bobby) Charette, Patsy Bouchard, Pauline and her husband Gary Dumond; one sister, Rinette Dubois. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his wife Sadie Caron in 1990; one daughter, Betty (Martin) Bouchard; three brothers, Lucien, Camille and Norman; two sisters, Jeannette Voisine and Annette Vaillancourt; three sons-in-law, Nelson Martin, Danford Charette and Herman Bouchard. Friends called 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7 until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery.
