MADAWASKA, Maine - Supporters of Dennis Dechaine, a Madawaska native found guilty in the murder of Sarah Cherry 25 years ago, distributed their "Trial & Error" newsletter this weekend, indicating that Dechaine could face another hearing in October.

Dechaine and supporters claim Dechaine did not murder the young girl, and that a cacophony of errors, including the incineration of "evidence," have kept him in jail.

Trial & Error will cover expenses for some expert witnesses related to future hearings. Cost for an expert witness, including a day or more in court, airfare, travel time, research time, and lodging, can exceed $7,000, according to the newsletter. Members may also cover future testing costs. Contributions may be made through Pay Pal (www.trialanderrordennis.org) or sent to Trial & Error, P.O. Box 153, Madawaska, ME 04756. All contributions to Trial & Error are tax deductible.

Those affiliated with the organization and its newsletter include Carol Waltman, Bill Bunting, Don Dechaine, Nancy Farrin, Steven Sandau, Bernie Huebner, Bob MacLaughlin and Eugenie Nakell.
