1950 - 2013

SACO, Maine and ST. FRANCIS, Maine - Joan Morton, 63, of Saco passed away peacefully on July 26, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born on March 2, 1950 in St. Francis, the oldest daughter of Lucien and Ida (Goodbou) Jandreau. She graduated from Fort Kent Community High School and briefly attended the University of Southern Maine. She was recently employed as an administrative professional with Sweetser Children's Home. Her passions included amateur photography, seafood, sharing a laugh with friends and family, and travels domestic and abroad. She was known for being a good listener and for having a great sense of humor. She will be missed mostly for her smile and warm demeanor. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ronald E. Morton of Saco; her two sons, Ron Caron of Boise, Idaho and Adam LaBrecque of Saco; her stepdaughter, Amy LaBrecque of Saco; her parents Lucien and Ida Jandreau of St. Francis; her siblings, Roderick Jandreau of St. Francis, Russell Jandreau of Fort Kent, Jenelle Hurd of St. Francis, Royel Jandreau of Hurst, Texas, Loren Jandreau of Fort Kent, Julie Jackson of Lebanon, and Lesa Ouellette of Buxton; as well as several nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her loving canine friends, Tegan and Barnaby of Boise, Idaho and Romeo of Buxton who brought her great comfort. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may donate in Joan's name to a local food pantry, as advocating for the less fortunate was one of her top priorities.
