FRENCHVILLE, Maine - To help the Frenchville Fire Department recognize Gedeon Corriveau for his 66 years of service as a charter member of the department, Phil Bosse, representing U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, presented Corriveau with an American flag on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Lakeview Restaurant in St. Agatha. Approximately 100 people attended the department event, including the firefighters of Frenchville and fire chiefs of area towns, to thank Corriveau for his service. The department has also dedicated a truck in Corriveau's name, changing the truck number to 66 to commemorate his years of service. Corriveau has served in the department since 1947. The flag was flown in Corriveau's honor over the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
